In many everyday items, weight is not only an important factor for usability, it also significantly influences their environmental impact. For example, reducing the weight of cars leads to a lower fuel consumption.
Unfortunately, the materials often used for weight loss, such as aluminium and fibre-reinforced plastics, are anything but ecological. But it can be done in a different way! The use of wood is sustainable, allows for a low component weight and offers other advantages, too.

Through the W3T-process we patented, complex shapes with high stiffness and strength can be realized.
By eliminating or reducing connection points, components become particularly light.
Fibre orientation along the profile
Good material properties along the profile axis play an important role in many components.
In the W3T-process, the wood fibres always run along the profile axis, so that the good properties of wood are always exploited in fibre direction.
The ideal material in the right place
Modern simulation methods, such as topology optimization, can be used to calculate the ideal internal structure.
The best ratio of low weight and maximum stability is determined. By machining the inner contour, almost all geometries can be realized.

Our vision is to develop CO2-neutral products that are ecological, lightweight and suitable for everyday use. The use of certified woods from sustainable cultivation is therefore a top priority for us.
Usage of resins from sustainable resources
You can’t do it without glue. Our current research focuses on the use of adhesives and resin systems with a biological content. At the same time, high mechanical and optical demands are not neglected.
Recycling waste and cutting residues
It is also important to us waste and cutting residues from production in a sustainable way. Thermal recovery has long been standard, so our company building can do without another source of heating. Upcycling of the cutting residues to new products is already receiving more than attention.
